Per the Planning Division, the construction of the building was approved under Site Plan No. SP-107-76. The property at that time was zoned M-1 (Industrial), as it is now. On the last page of the attached file, there is Decision No. 498 approving the project. Within the Decision, it mentions that the building is intended to be used for warehousing, and/or light manufacturing. Both uses are permitted in the zone (warehousing uses require a minimum 1,000 square foot tenant space).
