The City is in receipt of your request for records related to the storage of hazardous flammable materials at the Garden Grove Police Department and in other locations within the City. After conducting a reasonable search, the City has determined that responsive records exist. However, certain information in those records is exempt from disclosure pursuant to Government Code sections 6254.11 [Volatile Organic Compounds or Chemical Substances Information,” 6255(a), and 54957(a). Specifically, the public interest in safety and security of city facilities served by not disclosing the entirety of the requested records clearly outweighs any public interest served by disclosure. Please see the attached redacted records for all non-exempt, non-privileged records within the City’s possession.

Thank you,
City Clerk’s Office
