Dataset 1: 311 Service Requests
- Location (longitude/latitude, address, neighborhood, census tract, zip code, the more granular the better)
- Department called (Department of Water and Power, Department of Transportation, etc.)
- Service requested (bulky item pick-up, animal service centers, etc.)
- Call Resolution (processed, gave caller information, etc.)
- All service requests in the City of Garden Grove for the year of 2015 in any electronic format including csv, excel, dbf, json, or ascii among others
Dataset 2: Public Opinion Surveys (also called Community Surveys, Citizen Satisfaction Surveys)
- Location (latitude/longitude, census block group, census tract, neighborhood, zip code, address, the more granular the better)
- Survey results to standardized questions such as 'Overall effectiveness of city communication with the Public', 'Feeling of Safety in the City', 'Level of Public Involvement in City Decisions', 'Adequacy of street lightening'
- Survey results on set scales (such as Very Satisfied = 5, Satisfied =4, Neutral =3, Dissatisfied =2, Very Dissatisfied =1)
- Document with the survey questions with possible responses
- Survey results for 2015 in any electronic format including csv, excel, dbf, json, or ascii among others
Dataset 3: Code Violations
- Location information (longitude/latitude, parcel id, or address, etc.)
- Dates that case is opened and closed
- Complaint type (solid waste, property maintenance, etc.)
- Status (abated/corrected, no violation, etc.)
- All incidents of code violations in the City of Garden Grove for the year of 2015 in any electronic format including csv, excel, dbf, json, or ascii among others
Dataset 4: Building Permits
- Location information (latitude/longitude, tract, parcel id, or address, etc.)
- Permit status (finalized, expired, etc.)
- Date issued
- Permit type (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
- Permit sub-type (commercial, single family residence, apartment, etc.)
- All permits granted in the City of Garden Grove for the year of 2015 in any electronic format including csv, excel, dbf, json, or ascii among others

Dataset 1: Service Requests
The City does not track longitude/latitude, neighborhood or census tract information. The City uses outside services for trash/bulky item pick-up and animal services. Animal services for the City will be provided by the Public Works Department in January 2017.
Dataset 2: Public Opinion Surveys
The City does not keep a list of the surveys, however copies of the surveys submitted have been provided to you.
Dataset 3: Code Violations
The City does not track longitude/latitude or parcel number information. A list of corresponding code violation definitions has also been provided.
Dataset 4: Building Permits
This information is available on the City's website at www.ci.garden-grove.ca.us, City Departments, Community and Economic Development, Building Division, Online Building Permits. The City does not track latitude/longitude, tract, or parcel id.
