When was the Pantai Market, located at 12062 West 1st Street, closed and/or bought by Certified Market? On December 15, 1981, a double homicide occurred at Pantai Market. I am trying to discover if Certified Market and Pantai Market are one in the same. The owner of Certified Market would like to know this information as he is researching the history of his store and has only owned it for one year.

Certified Market/Sami Jarjour has been located at 12062 West 1st Street since 2001. Prior to 2001 it was owned by Vince Torbey from 1992-2000. Records prior to 1992 have been destroyed in accordance with the City's Records Retention Schedule. At this time the Pantal Market does not have a business license with the City.
