SUBJECT: GG Mayor's alleged recent GG Hyatt Hotel/union organization interaction(s) Sept/Oct 2015 - Potential/Possible Violations
It has come to my attention that there was an alleged interaction/encounter between Mayor Bao Nguyen, the management of the Hyatt Regency and union organizers wherein an alleged violation or violations of codes and laws may have been committed by the mayor.
I am of the understanding that there is a GGPD report with attached document(s) detailing this event/encounter.
Please forward any and all information, report(s), records and/or documentation of the above captioned matter pursuant to the Federal Freedom of Information Act and the California Public Records Act.

Resolution No. 9325-15 establishing a policy authorizing the release of law enforcement records exempt from disclosure under the California Public Records Act in certain circumstances involving elected public officials was passed at the October 27th City Council meeting. Attached is a copy of the GGPD report pertaining to the alleged interaction between Mayor Bao Nguyen, the management of the Hyatt Regency and union organizers. This information is exempt per Government Code Section 6254(f). The release of exempt police records such as this will be discussed at the October 27, 2015, City Council meeting.
