I am inquiring about an updated status of the fire that occurred at 9052 Imperial Ave Garden Grove, CA 92844 which caught on fire on July 28, 2015. In the original report I received the cause of the fire was not determined and I wanted to see if the report has been completed and the cause determined? Thank you

The City of Garden Grove (the “City”) has completed its initial review of your August 13, 2015, request for a copy of the fire report for an incident that occurred at 9052 Imperial Avenue in Garden Grove. This letter shall serve as the City’s notice of determination as to whether your request calls for the disclosure of non-exempt and non-privileged public records in the possession of the City, pursuant to the California Public Records Act (the “Act”) (Government Code §6250, et seq.). The City’s determination in this regard is as follows.
Records deemed responsive to your request have been located and are determined to contain responsive non-exempt, non-privileged information under the Act. City staff is, however, still in the process of investigating the incident. City staff anticipates completing the investigation and making the documents available for you on or before Tuesday, September 22, 2015.

This letter shall serve as notification of the City’s intent to comply with your request for public records, pursuant to the California Public Records Act (the “Act”) (Government Code §6250 et seq.).
The incident is still under investigation by the Garden Grove Fire Department. Staff anticipates that the information will be available on or before Tuesday, September 8, 2015. At that time public records that are deemed responsive to your request will be made promptly available to you.
