Effective July 1, 2025, the Community Development Department's updated planning and building fees will apply to all permit applications submitted on and after this date.

Why the change?

A User and Regulatory Fee Study presented to the City Council at a public hearing on January 28, 2025, found that the City's General Fund, its primary operating fund, has been subsidizing $1.7 million annually for planning and building services. Since fees were last updated in 2016, this adjustment ensures that service costs are recovered by service users rather than the General Fund.
