Street Sweeping

The City of Garden Grove sweeps approximately 1500 miles of curb and gutter, preventing an average of 220 tons of debris from entering storm drains monthly. You can help the street sweeping program by keeping leaves, grass cuttings, trash containers, vehicles, and excess water out of the street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in residential areas and from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. in other areas on posted sweeping day.

Streets will not be swept on the following City-observed holidays:

• New Years Day
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day
• Presidents Day
• Memorial Day
• Fourth of July
• Labor Day
• Veterans Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day

To insure the best and most efficient service, we ask your help with the following:

1. Please reset all lawn sprinklers for a day other than your scheduled sweeping day. This will eliminate excessive water collection which affects overall quality of sweeping service.
2. Avoid raking and power blowing your waste into the street.
3. Remove trash barrels from street and/or alleyway, on the night of trash collection day.
4. Remove basketball hoops from street or public right-of-way.
5. Trim shrub(s) and or tree(s) to back of curb.

El Departamento de Limpieza de Calles de la ciudad de Garden Grove barre mil quinientos (1500) millas de calles mensualmente, evitando que aproximadamente dos cientos veinte (220) toneladas de basura mensualmente contaminen los desagues o sistemas de alcantarillado.

1. Por favor de programar todos los sistemas de riego para no usarlos en el dia de limpieza de la barredora. Esto elimina el exceso de agua, que afecta la calidad de servicio de limpieza.
2. Evite barrer o usar equipos de limpieza que tiran basura en la calle.
3. Retire los botes de basura despues de que pase el camion colector de basura.
4. Retire los equipos portatiles de juego, como de basketball, porque afectan la limpieza, y el derecho de paso.
5. Pode los arboles o ramas de su casa que afectan la visibilidad, o acceso de equipos de limpieza o mantenimiento de la calle.

Để ngăn ngừa khoảng 220 tấn rác rưởi hàng tháng đổ xuống những cống rãnh của đường phố. Thành Phố Garden Grove sẽ quét dọn những lề đường và những chỗ thoát nước trong vòng 1500 dặm. Xin quí vị cộng tác với chúng tôi trong dự án quét dọn đường phố bằng cách là không để rác, lá cây, thùng rác, xe cộ, và nước chảy ngoài lề đường của khu vực dân cư từ 8:00 AM đến 4:00 PM, và từ 5:00 AM đến 9:00 AM trong những khu vực có niêm yết ngày giờ quét đường.

Để công việc này được kết quả tốt đẹp nhất, chúng tôi xin quí vị tuân theo những điều sau đây:

1. Điều chỉnh hệ thống phun nước không tưới cỏ vào những ngày quét đường, để tránh tình trạng nước ứ đọng ở lề đường sẽ làm cản trở việc quét đường này.
2. Đừng thổi hay quét rác ra vệ đường.
3. Di chuyển những thùng rác vào tối trước ngày quét đường.
4. Di chuyển những trụ bóng rổ di động ra khỏi lề đường hay lối ra vào công cộng.
5. Tỉa hay chặt cây và cành lá mọc tủa ra bên ngoài đường.
