Public Records Act Request
Dear Garden Grove City Officials,
I am requesting access to records in possession or control of the City of Garden Grove for the purposes of inspection and copying pursuant to the California Public Records Act, California Government Code § 6250 et seq. (“CPRA”), and Article I, § 3(b) of the California Constitution. The specific records I seek to inspect and copy are listed below. As used herein, “Record” includes “Public Records” and “Writings” as those terms are defined at Government Code § 6252(e) & (g). I request access to inspect/copies of information regarding budget information the Garden Grove Park Improvement City Project No. 2163101280. According to the staff report from the Sept. 22 City Council meeting, the bids to improve Garden Grove park were rejected because the project came over budget, and now the city is open to new bids for the project. My question is: what is the budget for this project? If the first round of bids came over budget, then there must be budget information available. This figure is the information I am seeking.

Request for Public Records – City of Garden Grove Notice of Extension
The City of Garden Grove has received your records request dated October 12, 2020, Request #6289. The City’s intent is to comply with your request for public records, pursuant to the California Public Records Act (the “Act”) (Government Code §6250 et seq.).
The City is in the process of evaluating this request and is compiling records in an effort to make a determination as to whether the request seeks copies of disclosable public records in the possession of the City of Garden Grove. However, notice is hereby given that the time limit to make this initial determination under the code shall be extended by fourteen (14) days to November 5, 2020, pursuant to Government Code §6253, for the following reason:
(a) The extension of time is reasonable and necessary for the proper processing of the request.
As noted above, the City’s written determination as to whether the request seeks copies of disclosable, non-exempt and non-privileged public records in the possession of the agency shall be sent to you on or about November 5, 2020. Pursuant to the Act, thereafter any and all disclosable, non-exempt and non-privileged public records that are deemed responsive to your request will be made promptly available to you.
