Per the City's Planning Division, the property located at 12721 and 12739 Garden Grove Boulevard is zoned Planned Unit Development No. PUD 103-04 with a General Plan Land Use designation of Community Residential. The property abuts a Planned Unit Development No. PUD-106-05 zoned property and R-1 zoned properties to the east; a PUD-103-72 zoned property to the west; a PUD-104-77 zoned property to the north; and HCSP-OP zoned properties, across Chapman Avenue, to the south.

The PUD-103-04 zone is a zoning designation, and was established to accommodate the development of a senior housing that consists of 68 affordable units for seniors, and 80 parking spaces. In the conjunction with the approval of the PUD-103-04, the Planning Commission also approved the Variance No. V-116-04 to deviate from the minimum 3-acre size requirement for a residential PUD. For your convenience, a copy of the PUD-103-04 is also included in this letter.

Request for Public Records – City of Garden Grove Notice of Extension

The City of Garden Grove has received your records request dated September 30, 2020, Request #6249. The City’s intent is to comply with your request for public records, pursuant to the California Public Records Act (the “Act”) (Government Code §6250 et seq.).

The City is in the process of evaluating this request and is compiling records in an effort to make a determination as to whether the request seeks copies of disclosable public records in the possession of the City of Garden Grove. However, notice is hereby given that the time limit to make this initial determination under the code shall be extended by fourteen (14) days to October 26, 2020, pursuant to Government Code §6253, for the following reason:

(a) The extension of time is reasonable and necessary for the proper processing of the request.

As noted above, the City’s written determination as to whether the request seeks copies of disclosable, non-exempt and non-privileged public records in the possession of the agency shall be sent to you on or about October 26, 2020. Pursuant to the Act, thereafter any and all disclosable, non-exempt and non-privileged public records that are deemed responsive to your request will be made promptly available to you.
