The City of Garden Grove is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a non-compensated member on the Administrative Board of Appeals. Applicants must be and remain a Garden Grove resident and a registered voter until the term expires in December 2020. The City’s Building Official will give notice of the time and date of meetings, which are held at the Garden Grove Community Meeting Center, located at 11300 Stanford Avenue. Applicants must be available to attend meetings.
Pursuant to Municipal Code Section 2.54.080 Duties, the 5-member Administrative Board of Appeals will provide final City interpretation of the provisions of various City codes and ordinances where authorized. The board will also conduct hearings to determine the suitability of alternate material and types of construction under the ordinances.
