Garden Grove Celebrates the Holidays with the "Winter in the Grove" Event

Starting this year, two City holiday events, Winterfest and Christmas Tree Lighting, are coming together into one event- Winter in the Grove. The free event takes place on Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Village Green Park, 12732 Main Street.

Activities at the event include a children craft area, holiday refreshments, letters to Santa, balloon animal artist, bounce houses, and over 40 tons of snow. Unlimited snow slides are $5. Food will be available for purchase from local non-profits.

Entertainment from the Garden Grove Unified School District and local organizations begin at 5:00 p.m. After the performances, the Garden Grove City Council will light the 24-foot Christmas tree. The event culminates with the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Businesses and organizations are invited to participate by sponsoring Winter in the Grove. Sponsors can choose from four different levels: Snowtopia Sponsorship of $5,000; Frosty’s Photo Shop Sponsorship of $2,500; Santa’s Sleighmobile Sponsorship of $1,000; or Christmas Crafters Sponsorship of $500.
