Exchange Students Arrive in Garden Grove from Anyang, Republic of Korea
The Sister City Association of Garden Grove is pleased to welcome nine high school students representing Anyang, Republic of Korea as part of the 29th annual Sister City Exchange Program. The students arrive on Saturday, January 13 to begin a 10-day tour of Garden Grove and Los Angeles with local host families.
Scheduled activities include meeting Garden Grove’s Mayor and City Council, touring City facilities, spending time at local high schools, a day at Disneyland, enjoying a bonfire in Huntington Beach, sight-seeing at Los Angeles areas of interest, and visiting the University of Southern California.
The students will be recognized by the Garden Grove City Council during a reception and dinner on Thursday, January 18, in the Community Meeting Center, located at 11300 Stanford Avenue.
High school students from the Garden Grove Unified School District will be visiting Anyang beginning on Thursday, March 29.
The Sister City Association is a nonprofit California corporation, organized to further the knowledge and understanding between the people of Garden Grove and those of similar cities in foreign countries.
