In anticipation of the City’s drive-through Eggscavation event on Saturday, April 3, the City will host a virtual Eggscavation Craft Contest for local students, K-8th grade. Now through Friday, March 26, local students are invited to participate in the craft contest by designing an Easter egg from decorated pasta noodles. Students can view instructions, guidelines, and an Easter egg template, as well as submit their original artwork at ggcity.org/eggscavation. Winners will receive prizes.
On Friday, March 26, at 5:30 p.m., submitted artwork will be posted on the Garden Grove Parks and Recreation Facebook, @gardengroveparksandrecreation, and the community will be invited to judge the craft contest by “liking” their favorite art in each grade category: K-2nd; 3rd-5th; and 6th-8th. Judging ends Friday, April 2, at 4:30 p.m.
The post with the most “likes” in each grade category will be determined the winner. Each winner will receive a giant chocolate Easter bunny and a $50 gift card to Target. Runner-ups in each grade category will receive a small chocolate Easter bunny and a $25 gift card to Target.
On Friday, April 2, at 5:30 p.m., the winners will be announced on the Garden Grove Parks and Recreation Facebook. Winners will also be notified that same day.
