CITY OF GARDEN GROVE IS SEEKING FEEDBACK FROM RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES ON EMERGENCY RESPONSE
The City of Garden Grove is seeking information from residents, businesses and community members impacted by the recent chemical emergency and evacuation orders associated with the methyl methacrylate (MMA) tank incident.
Homes and businesses within the evacuation zone can expect to receive a letter in the coming days formally verifying locations impacted by the GKN chemical incident. This letter along with the included documents are intended to help support residents and businesses document impacts associated with insurance claims, reimbursement requests, and other related recovery efforts.
Residents are also being asked to complete a survey to help the City better understand the impacts experienced by the community and identify areas of improvement. Households and/or businesses that were impacted by the evacuation orders or related disruptions, are encouraged to complete the survey at ggcity.typeform.com/hazmat-survey.
“Our City is committed to helping residents and businesses recover from this incident,” said Mayor Stephanie Klopfenstein. “We are looking for feedback to help us assess community needs, improve our emergency response, and continue to help support ongoing recovery efforts.”
