Garden Grove Strawberry Festival Parade and Strawberry Stomp Postponed
The 66th Annual Strawberry Parade and Strawberry Stomp 5k have been postponed; However the Strawberry Festival will continue. The City of Garden Grove, the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival and Sister City Association of Garden Grove made the decision in coordination with public safety and emergency response partners as City resources continue to be dedicated to an active incident response occurring elsewhere in the community.
“Our priority is ensuring City resources remain focused where they are needed most while continuing to support the safety and well-being of our community,” said Mayor Stephanie Klopfenstein. “We appreciate the public’s understanding and continued support of the Strawberry Festival and all of the individuals who help make this event such a special tradition for Garden Grove.”
The City and Festival Association are working together to evaluate scheduling options and will provide updates regarding future event dates as information becomes available.
“While we know this is disappointing for residents, participants, and visitors, we support this decision and appreciate the collaboration with the City and our public safety partners,” said Strawberry Festival Association President Steve Sanders.
