City of Garden Grove and Garden Grove Sanitary District Announces Waste Collection Sites
As a result of ongoing labor-related demonstrations, commercial and residential waste collection services continue to be delayed in the Garden Grove Sanitary District (Sanitary District). Starting Friday, July 11, Republic Services will provide waste collection sites throughout the service area.
Residential and commercial customers within the Sanitary District may utilize these free, temporary sites for solid waste. The Sanitary District has issued the following trash collection site guidelines:
- The following locations will be available for residents to drop off trash disposal:
- Eastgate Park, 12001 St Mark St.
- Chapman Library, 9182 Chapman Ave.
- Garden Grove Park, 9301 Westminster Blvd.
- West Haven Park, 12252 West St.
- Garden Grove Courtyard Center, 12732 Main St.
- Harvest Lane and Ball Rd.
- Garden Grove Blvd and Nichols Dr.
- Regular Trash Only. No Recyclables. No Organics.
- Bagged trash only
- No loose trash
- To make sure there is enough space, place items as far back as possible.
- No hazardous waste items which include, but are not limited to household chemicals, paint, electronics, batteries, and automobile related items (oil, antifreeze, tires, etc.)
- No construction demolition materials
- No bulky items
- No refrigerators, freezers or air conditioning units.

Due to the delays in waste collection, residential street sweeping is canceled for Friday, July 11, 2025.
