City Re-Launches ‘Foods of Garden Grove’ Program Showcasing City's Best Global Cuisines
The City of Garden Grove re-launches its “Foods of Garden Grove” initiative, highlighting over 100 of Garden Grove’s most acclaimed and customer-favored international food and drink establishments. The initiative, furthering the City’s efforts to support its small-business community and championed by Garden Grove Mayor Steve Jones, offers a virtual food tour from the City’s recognized ethnic enclaves, including Garden Grove’s Little Saigon and Orange County’s Koreatown, as well as Latin eateries, local favorites, and Michelin Guide honorees.
“Garden Grove is a lively melting pot of colorful traditions, customs, people, and communities and our food scene reflects that local authenticity beautifully,” said Garden Grove Mayor Steve Jones.
Mayor Jones, a self-proclaimed foodie, has been an enthusiastic advocate for the program since it first launched in 2021 to help promote local restaurants at the height of the pandemic.
“From the beginning, this program has been a true labor of love bringing together our community and local businesses through the universal language of food.”
The re-launch aims to further highlight the expansive dining options that define Garden Grove’s vibrant and diverse food culture, hometown spirit, and progressive vision for the future, leveraging Orange County’s The Culinary CMO marketing firm to visually capture the very essence of local restaurants and their culinary teams.
Videos and interviews are promoted digitally on the Foods of Garden Grove social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, as well as the City’s Foods of Garden Grove website, at ggcity.org/foodsofgardengrove. Featured on the website is an integrated map and cuisine category search option.
A Foods of Garden Grove booth will be at the upcoming National Night Out community event providing program information and giveaways. National Night Out will take place on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in front of the Garden Grove Police Headquarters, located at 11301 Acacia Parkway. Information: ggcity.org
