Donate School Supplies to Local Students in Need
As the new school year approaches, the City of Garden Grove’s family resource centers invite the community to participate in the Back to School Drive, a program designed to equip local students in need with the resources to help them succeed at school. Now through Wednesday, July 31, 2024, backpacks, pencil cases, notebooks, 3-ring binders, calculators, and more can be brought to the Recreation Counter in Garden Grove City Hall, at 11222 Acacia Parkway, Buena Clinton Youth and Family Center, at 12661 Sunswept Avenue, and Magnolia Park Family Resource Center, at 11402 Magnolia Street.
Gift cards and monetary donations are also accepted and are tax-deductible. Please make checks payable to the Garden Grove Community Foundation and mail to P.O. Box 3070, Garden Grove, CA 92842, or dropped off at the donation collection sites.
Last year, with the assistance from the community, over 300 local families received needed school supplies to support their children’s education.
The City’s family resource centers, comprised of the Buena Clinton Youth and Family Center and Magnolia Park Family Resource Center, represent the City’s long-standing emphasis on developing youth potential, supporting families, and enriching communities.
Both centers provide low- or no-cost, confidential and bilingual programs and services focused on family and youth, counseling, health and wellness, and community involvement.
