City Recognizes Nearly 50 Local College Graduates

On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, the City of Garden Grove recognized nearly 50 residents for their achievements in higher education at the 2024 Garden Grove College Graduates’ Reception. Graduates received local, state, and federal certificates of recognition, and over $11,000 in opportunity cash prizes, gift cards, and services.

In a video message, Garden Grove Mayor Steve Jones encouraged graduates to build their careers in Garden Grove.

“There are several different career disciplines represented in the Class of 2024 that include technology, medicine, science, social work, and education. All of those careers have major employers in Garden Grove,” said Mayor Jones. He added, “The possibilities for success in Garden Grove are endless.”

Title sponsors for the event were Astro Orthodontics, Embassy Suites by Hilton Anaheim South, Garden Grove Shell #1, and Thirsty Cow Korean Barbeque. Master’s sponsors include the Garden Grove Unified School District and Dibs Digital Wellness.
