Summertime in Garden Grove means it’s free summer concert series time, and this year’s line-up offers genres sure to please every music lover in the family. A kick-off concert will be held on Friday, June 21 at the Garden Amp, located at 12762 Main Street, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Next, we’ll make a stop on Downtown Main Street on Thursday, June 27, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Finally, we’ll return to Eastgate Park, 12001 St. Mark Street, for a total of four concerts, every Thursday, starting July 11 through August 1, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

If you’re a fan of 80’s music, join us at the Garden Amp on Friday, June 21, for a special concert featuring Clive Farrington of When In Rome U.K. (#1 Song - "The Promise"), The Spazmatics and Your Mom Band. Tickets are free for Garden Grove residents and can be reserved by visiting the Garden Amp website at www.gardenamp.com. Food, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. No outside food or drinks will be allowed.

Next, we’ll head to Downtown Main Street on Thursday, June 27, for a performance by the Smokin’ Cobras, bringing us all the best party hits from the 50’s to the 80’s.

Finally, we’ll kick-off our series at Eastgate Park on Thursday, July 11, with a performance by Taylor Swift tribute band, Taylor Nation, so rock your favorite Taylor era and bring your friendship bracelets! The remainder of the series will also feature country music courtesy of Redneck Rodeo, Jimmy Buffet tribute band Jimmy’s Buffet, and local favorites the Tijuana Dogs.

On July 25, the community is invited to come to the park an hour earlier to celebrate Parks Make Life Better! Month, and enjoy free activities, including balloon twisting, face painting, a caricature artist, and inflatables.

For all concerts at Eastgate Park, C & M Ohana will be selling kettle corn, ice cream and lemonade, and food trucks will be on site offering specialty menus. For the safety and enjoyment of all, no canopies, golf carts, or alcohol is permitted in the park.
