Chapman Avenue, from Springdale Street to Western Avenue, will undergo rehabilitation beginning Monday, March 27, 2023 through August 2023, causing temporary traffic delays.

Motorists are advised that traffic on Chapman Avenue will be reduced to one lane to facilitate construction work. Work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Access to businesses and residences along the construction area will be maintained at all times.

The improvements consist of the removal and construction of uplifted curbs, gutter, sidewalk, wheelchair ramps, asphalt concrete paving, landscaping and irrigation, traffic striping, and raised pavement markers. The work will result in a new roadway surface and minimize maintenance for years.

The project is funded by Measure M2 Local Fair Share and gas tax.
