Buena Clinton - Youth Programs
The Buena Clinton neighborhood is home to more than 2,100 youth in the neighborhood, from birth to 18 years of age. The center offers programs to engage local youth and direct them toward positive and productive activities, while emphasizing neighborhood pride, character development, and leadership. Priority consideration is given to residents who reside within the Buena Clinton neighborhood and/or area. All programs are offered at low cost. Afterschool Program
Students in grades 1-6 receive after-school homework assistance to help build basic learning skills. Applications become available in August for the upcoming school year, space is limited. Contact the center for dates and program cost. Applications are now being accepted!
Summer Program
Students entering Kinder - 6th grade in the fall, enjoy daily recreation activities that engage children in hands-on activities that promote positive interactions with peers in a fun and safe environment. Program is held Monday through Thursday during the summer months, for seven weeks. Priority consideration is given to residents who reside within the Buena Clinton neighborhood. Applications for 2018 program will become available May 2018.
Teen Programs
Interested teens must be attending Doig Intermediate or Santiago High School and be in the 7th - 12th grades. A registration form signed by a parent is required prior to participation.
True Neighborhood Teens
TNT is a teen leadership club helping local youth ages 13 to 18 gain purpose and make a difference in their community. Through fun and motivational activities that inspire leadership and emphasize team effort, teens learn the fundamentals needed to succeed, while building pride and ownership in their neighborhood. Activities include support to community events, mentorship, and leadership activities. Meetings are held every Tuesday from 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm during the months of September - June. First meeting will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 12661 Sunswept Avenue, Garden Grove CA 92843.
