Vehicle Rebate Program (VRP)
On May 14, 2019, the City has added a Vehicle Rebate Program (VRP) to its shop local initiative, Buy in Garden Grove (BiGG).
Garden Grove residents and businesses purchasing a new vehicle from one of the six franchised local auto dealers are eligible to receive a $500 rebate with proof of Garden Grove residency or business address. Qualifying vehicles include new cars and trucks. Motorcycles, off-road vehicles, or watercraft and fleet vehicles are not eligible purchases under this program. Fleet vehicle sales are also excluded. The $500 rebate will be applied towards the agreed-upon price in the final sales contract and processed 30 days after the purchase.
Eligibility Requirements
To receive the $500 rebate, the following must be provided at the time of purchase:
- Valid state-issued photo identification or driver's license
- Proof of residency or business address via Business License Certificate
- Copy of the purchase agreement
