Gang Awareness

The Community Liaison Division provides Gang Awareness presentations to deter youth from participating in gang activity. In an effort to increase gang awareness, the presentation covers risk factors, behaviors, and consequences associated with gangs. Recognizing gang activity in schools and in the community is a crucial step in working towards gang suppression. Prevention and intervention strategies help our youth make healthy choices that will have a positive impact on their future.

The Garden Grove Police Department Juvenile Justice Center, in partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Garden Grove, offers referral programs that allow students and families to voice their concerns and work toward a positive solution. Gang awareness helps protect our youth and community through education.
