The Garden Grove Police Department’s “Call to Duty” Memorial is an annual service that honors the Garden Grove police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

The Garden Grove Sanitary District and Republic Services hosts the Community Cleanup Day program, offering residents the opportunity to dispose of bulky items for free.

Local seniors are invited to celebrate the spirit of community and volunteerism at the 49th Annual Strawberry Ball.

Tickets are $20 and must be purchased in person by Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 11300 Stanford Avenue, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

The Garden Grove Strawberry Festival returns during this year’s Memorial Day weekend, May 22, 2026, to May 25, 2026, at Village Green Park, located at 12732 Main Street. Admission to the festival is FREE and open to the public.

The City is recognizing Garden Grove college graduates for their outstanding accomplishments in higher education. The City is seeking names and information from Garden Grove residents who will receive an undergraduate or post-graduate academic degree from any college or university in 2026.
