Free Shredding and Bulky Item Drop-Off Site

The City, in partnership with the Garden Grove Sanitary District and Republic Services, will host a community cleanup day to help residents securely shred paper and properly dispose of bulky items for free. A limited amount of bagged compost will also be available for free.

Residents may bring unwanted bulky items, such as non-refrigerant appliances, furniture, mattresses, and carpets. Electronic waste, including printers and computers, and green waste, such as leaves and lawn clippings, are also accepted. This will be a self-service event in which residents will be unloading their items on a first-come, first-served basis until bins are full.
