About

In the heart of Garden Grove runs more than a mile of history, gratitude and community spirit. What began as a bold idea to reimagine an unused rail corridor has transformed into the Medal of Honor Bike & Pedestrian Trail—a living memorial to our nation's bravest.

Lined with trees, shaded rest areas, and spaces for reflection, the trail honors the extraordinary courage of Garden Grove's own Medal of Honor recipients.

This is more than a pathway—it's a ribbon of connection through our city. A place where residents and visitors can move, gather and remember. Where the vision of a greener, healthier, and more united Garden Grove has grown into a lasting tribute—rooted in our past, thriving in our present, and inspiring our future.

The trail is part of the city's 40-Year Urban Forest Management Plan. In 2020, the city adopted the plan to act as a guide for maintaining, enhancing, and growing an urban forest in Garden Grove.
